Prenatal Massage

This is a blend of various techniques designed to comfort the expectant mother. When receiving prenatal massage, you are positioned on your side to give the therapist access to your back or in a semi-reclining face up position for massage of the front of the body. You are supported with pillows for comfort and full draping is always used.  Only the area being work on is undraped.

During the first trimester it can help relieve headaches, reduce fatigue, and alleviate morning sickness. During the second trimester it can help relieve backaches and leg cramps. During the third trimester massage can help reduce swelling/edema, relieve pain from varicosities, enhance sleep and prepare pelvic muscles for the birth process.
